Our Story

Creating Pathways to Purpose

Across New York City, thousands of young people and families are navigating life in temporary housing, underserved communities, and environments filled with barriers such as limited educational opportunities, exposure to violence, lack of mentorship, and economic instability. Many of these young people have dreams, talents, and potential, but lack access to the opportunities, guidance, and safe spaces needed to turn those dreams into reality.

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. (DHOI) was created in 2019 by TrudyAnn Williams to change that reality.

Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. (DHOI) exists to unlock opportunities for youth and families who are often overlooked and underserved. We believe that every young person deserves access to mentorship, education, creative expression, and supportive environments that allow them to discover their purpose and build a brighter future. Our work focuses on meeting youth and families where they are, whether in shelters, schools, community centers, or neighborhoods, and providing programs and services that create hope, opportunity, and lasting transformation.

Through partnerships with schools, shelters, community organizations, and corporate supporters, Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. (DHOI) is building a strong network of support that empowers youth, strengthens families, and uplifts entire communities.

TrudyAnn Williams

CEO

TrudyAnn Williams is a visionary leader, devoted mother, and passionate community advocate. As the CEO of Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc., she is committed to uplifting individuals and families facing hardship, turning challenges into pathways for growth and restoration. With a professional background in Finance, TrudyAnn brings both compassion and strategic insight to her work, ensuring that outreach efforts are not only heartfelt, but sustainable and impactful. Her leadership is rooted in empathy, faith, and action, as she works hands-on to provide resources, mentorship, and hope to communities in need. Above all, TrudyAnn believes in the power of purpose. Whether serving families through her organization or nurturing her own at home, she leads with integrity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to helping others step fully into their destiny.

Ariel Trent

Secretary

Ariel Trent, a Brooklyn-bred leader with roots in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, supports the team by maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, and assisting with administrative needs. With a background in Finance, Mathematics, Africana Studies, Dance, and Visual Art, she helps keep the organization organized and efficient.

Gloria Seay

Community Outreach Coordinator

Gloria connects Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. (DHOI) with companies, organizations, and the community by building relationships, coordinating volunteer events, and ensuring programs reach those most in need. With a heart for service and experience in social work, she helps bring the mission to life.

DeVasha Lloyd

Board Chair

As Board Chair, DeVasha provides guidance, accountability, and leadership to ensure the organization stays aligned with its mission. With 25+ years of experience in business leadership, she brings strong governance and vision to the team.

Cameron Thomas

Chief Financial Officer

Cameron manages all financial operations, budgeting, and compliance for Destiny Helpers Outreach Inc. (DHOI). With a background in accounting, he ensures the organization's resources are managed responsibly to maximize impact.
